DESCRIPTION:Join us for a night celebrating neurodiversity and creativity!\
 nAnimated videos\, spoken word poetry and discussion.\n\n\n\nFigment Arts 
 present a showcase launch of animated videos and spoken word poetry around
  autistic communication and loneliness\, created in response to autistic a
 cademic Dr Gemma Williams research project at the University of Brighton.\
 n\n\n\n\n\nWe worked together over several months to develop a series of s
 hort\, animated films that communicate the findings from a PhD research pr
 oject called ‘Talking Together’. The research investigated communicati
 on between autistic and non-autistic speakers and also looked at the topic
  of loneliness and social isolation.\n\nAutistic artists worked on their o
 wn short films and creative writing responding to the themes of miscommuni
 cation\, interacting socially as an autistic person\, and loneliness.\n\nC
 ome and enjoy a lively evening of short animated film screenings\, perform
 ance spoken word and informal discussions about the work.\n\n\n\n
