nThis show will be the culmination of a week long residency here where the
pair will work together to develop their improvisations for stage. They w
ill be playing records after the live show and be hanging out to chat abou
t what they have been up to.\n\nNOUM /nu:m/ is a rock band that grew stran
ger as time went by. It is lead by folk and electronic artist Noémie Duci
metière\, whose ancient music explorations bloom in this project. Through
her vocals\, tiny guitar and mountain of hardware\, the project transmute
s its roots of folk\, grunge and rave music to shake the divide between th
e experimental and the traditional. Electronic artist and instrument maker
Vahakn Matossian (Sonnen)\, who has been a part of Noum since formation\,
will join Noémie in this residency to cultivate an attitude of explorati
on in performance and work on bringing improvisation to the stage. Expect
euphoria and come with an interest in time travel.\n\ninstagram.com/noum.o
