SUMMARY:LOVELY GIRLS
DESCRIPTION:Chess and Cristina are The Hiccup Project\, a comedic dance-the
atre company. People commonly refer to them as ‘the lovely Hiccup girls
’. It got them thinking…\nAfter diving into the world of romance and h
eartbreak in critically acclaimed multi-award winning May-We-Go-Round?\,
Cristina and Chess explore what it means to be a young woman in brand new
show Lovely Girls. Meandering through real women’s stories using The Hi
ccup Project’s potent blend of dance\, theatre and comedy\, it is an ins
ight\, a celebration and an ode to being a woman in the 21st Century. A sh
ow made by women for everyone\, regardless of gender\n“Physical comedy a
nd dance are stupendous companions when they work - and Chess and Cristina
have the energy and the intelligence to make it work”\nFringe Guru\n“
Theatre and dance that throws custard pies at convention. Outstanding”\n
Fringe Review\n“Men will laugh from their very core... in a story every
 woman can relate to"\nTotal Theatre\nA POST-SHOW Q&amp\;A WILL BE TAKING P
LACE AFTER THIS EVENT\n\n\n\nSupport for this event comes from Eleanor Dil
 lon-Reams and Lily Burton\n\nHoneyBee - Eleanor Dillon-Reams\nHoneyBee is
a new one-woman play written by Eleanor Dillon-Reams\, which combines sta
 nd-up comedy\, physical theatre\, spoken word and a thumping festival-driv
en soundtrack. HoneyBee is Elle’s first full-length play\, and is some
thing of a marathon feat on stage. The show tells the story of Kate\, who\
, having had her world turned upside down and vomited back up at a festiva
l\, journeys to rediscover her identity and self-worth. Holding nothing ba
ck\, flipping the bird to the patriarchy\, Kate represents our generation
’s search for purpose. Performed by the writer\, and told through a blen
d of poetry\, movement and short stand-up skits\, the show challenges the
female stereotype through brutally honest accounts of her life.\n\nAll Abo
ard! At Termination Station - Lily Burton\n"I was 19 when I had an abortio
 n. Looking back\, I think it was a self-destructive attempt to make someon
e love me more. It didn’t work. The prick!”\nAll Aboard! At Terminatio
n Station is a comedy cabaret (or summin’ like that) and asks the quest
ion: Have you ever just closed your eyes and hoped that it’ll all just g
o away? This is a bracing\, booming and brash exploration of pro-choice.
Too far gone to hide\, join Lilly on an upside-down nuttified conquest thr
ough song\, dance and self-reflection. A warm and wacky misadventure\, th
is show is for the boy who never knew\, for the girl who never said and fo
 r anyone who didn’t ask about ABORTION.\n&nbsp\;
