 l\, A.K.A LoneLady\, is a musician\, songwriter\, singer and producer from
  Manchester\, England. Inspired by British post-punk Julie first started m
 aking recordings in the early-mid 2000s on a 4-track cassette recorder in 
 her tower block flat in Manchester while completing a Fine Art Degree. Sel
 f-taught on many instruments including guitar\, bass\, synths\, drum machi
 nes and later learning cello\, Julie writes all the parts and plays all th
 e instruments on her recordings\, with the exception of real drums.\n\n\n\
 nLoneLady has returned (March 2021) with new single “(There Is) No Logic
 ”\, a punchy electro and R&amp\;B tinged track\, released via Warp Recor
 ds. “(There Is) No Logic” fuses humanity and hardware\, with unruly ch
 opped-up vocal samples layered over twisting machine-funk rhythms.\n\nhttp

 ngs\, a medieval art style that served as a symbolic representation of the
  inevitability of death\, “(There Is) No Logic” re-interprets this for
  the 21st century. LoneLady’s tongue is firmly in her cheek\, pairing bl
 ackly humorous tidings of doom with an irrepressible dancefloor energy.\n\

 o after years spent bussing around the DIY artist circuitry of South East 
 London has developed a distinctive presence as a performer and producer of
 fering a shifting\, disorienting vision of club music.\n\n\n\nA long-time 
 collaborator with Mica Levi\, Tirzah\, Babyfather\, CURL\, Klein\, and Kwe
 s\, Coby's recorded work spans the realms of live instrumentation\, sample
 -based productions and experimental music\, melding recognisable motifs of
  hip hop\, drone\, jazz\, grime and more into a dubbed-out anaesthesia.\n\
