  King Massassay's photographs invite us to view Bamako's unassuming iron 
 workers in a new light as magicians of metal\, allowing their dignity and 
 gravitas to be appreciated. Although marked by the realism of an artist w
 ho walks the streets for hours with a camera in hand\, the photographs of 
 Fototala King Massassy also hum with the humanity of their subjects\, hint
 ing at an approach that records the vibrant everyday life of Bamako with g
 enuine empathy.
