SUMMARY:Introduction to Acrylic Painting
DESCRIPTION:Increase your confidence in using acrylic paint\, and learn new
  approaches to inspire your painting at this one day workshop!Under the su
 pportive guidance of artist Denise Harrison\, this one-day crash-course wi
 ll help you develop your acrylic painting skills.  The workshop also cove
 rs the formal elements of painting and Denise will help you to develop you
 r use of colour\, tone and composition in your paintings. This class is su
 itable complete beginners as well as more experienced artists who want to 
 become more confident working in acrylics.   What to Expect This one-d
 ay workshop runs from 10am-5pm with a 1 hour break at 1pm-2pm and addition
 al shorter tea breaks.  During the day Denise will demonstrate techniques
  and also will tutor each person throughout the day as she moves around th
 e class. Students will be guided to create several small painted studies a
 nd a larger final painting.   What you need to bring  Most materials 
 will be provided\, including acrylic paint\, brushes\, additional acrylic 
 painting paper and palettes. If you have any questions\, please contact in

 uld photographs or other artists’ paintings. They could be landscapes\, 
 figures\, faces\, abstract artworks or still life.   A optional sketchb

  A folder to transport dry work home in  Getting to the studio You may
  arrive at 9:45am onwards. Approach New England House from the New England
  Street side of the building and walk up to the locked blue double doors n
 ext to the sign for the ‘Building Manager’s Office’. Wait to be let 
 in or call the number on the door for entry - the studio is on level 5\, U
 nit 1 South\, just knock and walk in. There is parking at London Road car 
 park\, Elder Place &amp\; Trafalgar St car parks\; Brighton station is a 5
  minute walk from the studio.    Discounts The discounted rate is ava
