DESCRIPTION:In this level 2 one-day workshop\, you’ll spend 5 hours impro
 vising in the style of Shakespeare’s plays. Shakespeare was a genius\, s
 o whilst we probably can’t quite reach his level of playwriting in a day
 \, we CAN learn a huge amount to inspire and develop our improvised theatr
 e and comedy performances.\n\nDuring the workshop\, you’ll immerse yours
 elf in Shakespearean language\, stories\, types of characters and explore 
 the Elizabethan World to create your own versions of scenes and sketches i
 n the style of Shakespeare’s plays.\n\nWhat can I expect?\n\n 	What did 
 Shakespeare ever do for us?\nSoliloquy\, monologues\, entrances\, chorus\,
  set description\, deaths\, narration\, verse\, etc.\n 	Simile and metapho
 r to make your language more poetic and descriptive (inc. making up words)
 .\n 	What is Iambic pentameter? Why it’s not scary (and why we won’t u
 se it much anyway).\n 	Playing Status\n 	Improvising as Elizabethans (in t
 heir world).\n 	Exploring Shakespeare’s stories (comedy\, tragedy\, hist
 ory\, magic\, shipwrecks\, and more).\nand deaths.\n\nWho is this course s
 uitable for?\n\n 	Improvisers\, and actors with some improvisation experie
 nce (Level 1 Maydays course\, or above).\n 	18-100+ years old!\n 	Performe
 rs who want to explore Shakespeare from a fresh angle\n 	Improvisers who w
 ant to develop and explore their verbal dexterity and theatrical stagecraf
 t.\n\nThis course is being led by Maydays superstar\, Jenny Rowe who also 
 performs with Impromptu Shakespeare.\n\nWhen: Saturday 25th March\, 12.30-
 5.30 pm\n\nWhere: Open Space Studios\, Unit 7\, Rear of 64 Davigdor Road\,
