 ilms\, alongside footage of his court hearing in the 1950s\, held by Unive
 rsity of Sussex and Screen Archive South East. Matusow’s storied and com
 plicated life as a Communist-turned-McCarthyist-turned- avant-garde-artist
  is almost too strange to be true. These films provide insight into a sliv
 er of what Matusow got up to after fleeing America for Sussex\, and how he
  sought again and again to set his story straight.The screening will featu
 re an original score from musicians Sam Yardley and Dan Hutchins (of Porri
 dge Radio).Please note there will be a £2 fee for the car park.
