 ishead DJ\, compiler of the awesome Document and Reach Up compilations) an
 d Nick Halkes (XL Recordings co-founder\, producer &amp\; remixer) will be
  joining Disco Lovers’ resident Sam Moffett at Komedia for a multi-deck 
 vinyl and digital DJ session on the first holiday Saturday of the year.\n\
 nAndy &amp\; Nick drop 80s disco\, boogie and proto house\, evoking the sp
 irit of legendary NYC clubs such as Paradise Garage and Studio 54. They’
 ll dip into the rich soundtrack that emerged as the 70’s turned into the
  80’s\, forming the DNA of today’s club music and mesh the set with th
 e freshest productions\, remixes and re-edits.\n\nAs schooldays best frien
 ds Andy and Nick ran a mobile disco together and hunted for bargain 12 inc
 h vinyl in their childhood home town of Portishead near Bristol. At this p
 oint they had no idea that Andy would supply beats and tour the world with
  Portishead before becoming voted one of the top 100 DJs in the world nor 
 that Nick would go on to set up the XL and Positiva record labels\, becomi
 ng one of the UK’s most respected dance and electronic music industry e
