We shouldn’t need to tell you just how fantastic a band Augustines are. But in case you didn’t know, their particular brand of power folk is so insanely good that we’d put them up there with one of the best bands we’ve ever seen live.
This show though, marks a departure from the norm for the band, as frontman and guitarist Billy McCarthy makes a rare and intimate solo appearance at one of Brighton’s most celebrated rock & roll venues, the Prince Albert.
It’s unclear whether this set will feature unheard solo material, acoustic versions of Augustines songs or perhaps a little bit of both.
One thing we are certain of though, is that it’s sure be just a little bit special.
